Career
While studying in college, Anuj discovered his passion for acting and started participating in stage plays and dramas regularly. He made his mainstream acting debut in 2007 as a supporting character in the comedy-crime film “Ek Chalis Ki Last Local”, this film is directed by Sanjay M. Khanduri.
He played an important role in Zoya Akhtar’s drama film “Luck by Chance”, which was well received by critics and won several awards.
In 2009, he received global praise for playing the lead role of Ammaji’s son in the serial drama show “Na Aana Is Des Laado”. The show was a global hit and received positive reviews from both audiences and critics.
Anuj Sharma has done more than 75 TV commercials. He has played notable roles in several successful films and TV series, such as Gunahon Ka Devta (2011), Suryaputra Karna (2016), Chandrakanta (2018), Padmaavat (2018), Special Ops (2020), and Guilty Minds (2022).

Early Life
Anuj Sharma told the media about his acting journey in a media interview ‘Narrating the story about how his journey started and made a hattrick with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actor said,
“It seems to me that whatever is happening to us in this world has already happened, has been promised and decided. Time seems to have reached there. 2005, I have come to Mumbai. I have been acting for 27 years. I went to Bombay Aakar Chowpatty, one of my friends told me that Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji’s office was there, I dropped photos there. 2008, I got a call and was told that Sanjay sir wanted to meet. When I met you, I was very happy to see you.
(Mujhe aisa lagta hai duniya mai jo kuch bhi humare saath hota hai na, pehle se hota hai, ishwar kar chuke hote hai decided. Samay lagta hai waha tak pahochne mai. 2005, mai mumbai aaya hai. 27 years se acting kar raha hu. Bombay aakar Chowpaty mai, mere ek dost ne bataya ki waha Sanjay Leela Bhansali ji ka office hai, waha photos drop kiya. 2008, mai ek call aya aur bataya gaya ki Sanjay sir milna chahte. Main jab milne gaya, maine unko dekha bohot khush hua).”
After getting fame from Hiramandi, Anuj said, ‘Whatever gold bangle you use, keep it in a small goldsmith’s shop or big, its quality remains the same, and it does not go down. I was doing the same work somewhere else for 27 years, for TV, series and other films.
I was doing the same thing here too, I didn’t feel that much of a change, but one thing is, when you are in front of a great director, and you are on a great setup. The final result is huge. Because then you start noticing the world as it is now. I have been doing this work for 27 years, but till now people have not started calling me like they are now.’
