Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a renowned Indian actor. He was born on 19 May 1974 in Budhana, a small town in Uttar Pradesh. The actor belongs to a landowner Muslim family with eight brothers and sisters. He completed his schooling at BSS Inter College, Budhana, Muzaffarnagar. The actor graduated from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. He graduated in Chemistry. 

He was a chemist for a while before he got interested in acting. He entered the acting world through street plays in Delhi and collaborated with Sakshi Theatre Group, which had some of the finest actors of India, such as Manoj Bajpayee. The actor graduated from the renowned National School of Drama in 1996, from which he began his acting career.

The actor struggled at first upon arriving in Mumbai in 1999. Financial limitations and traveling by public transport from shared housing, notwithstanding initial struggles, the actor gained acclaim for his work in films like Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday (2007) and the 2012 gangster epic Gangs of Wasseypur, which was a big jump in his career. 

Renowned for his original take on large-scale characters, he has won awards such as the National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, and international awards for The Lunchbox, Raman Raghav 2.0, and Manto. The actor is the sole actor to have acted in eight films officially selected and screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
