Allu Arjun (born 8 April 1982) is an Indian actor who works mainly in Telugu cinema. He is one of the highest paid actors in Indian cinema. He is one of the best dancers in Indian cinema. He is popularly known as the “Stylish Star” and “Icon Star”. He was first seen in the film industry as a child artist in the 1985 film Vijetha in the role of Sartha’s son. Allu Arjun was born on 8 April 1982 in Madras (now Chennai) to film producer Allu Arvind and Nirmala in a Telugu family. His grandfather was noted film comedian Allu Ramalingaiah, who acted in over 1000 films. His native place is Palakollu in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Allu Arjun grew up in Chennai before moving to Hyderabad with his family in the 1990s. He studied at St. Patrick’s School in Chennai and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from MSR College, Hyderabad.
He is the second of three siblings Venkatesh elder and Sirish is younger. Venkatesh is a businessman while brother Sirish is also an actor. His paternal aunt is Surekha Konidela, wife of actor Chiranjeevi. Actor Ram Charan is his cousin.

Career
He made his debut in cinema as a child actor in the movie Vijeta (1985) and Daddy (2001) playing the role of a dancer. He made his adult debut in the film Gangotri (2003). The film was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, produced by his father Allu Arvind and C. Aswini Dutt. He then appeared in Sukumar’s film Arya. He played the lead role of Arya in the movie.
The film proved to be his breakthrough, earning him his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and winning the Nandi Special Jury Award and Cinema Award for Best Actor. The movie was commercially and critically successful. In the film “Pushpa: The Rise”, based on red sandalwood smuggling, Allu Arjun plays the role of coolie-turned-smuggler Pushpa Raj alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. The movie proved to be a first-rate business success, grossing over ₹350 crore and turning into the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2021.
A sequel to Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to release soon. He is referred to in the media as “Icon Star”, or “Bunny”. He has been called “Mallu Arjun” in Kerala since 2004 due to the consistent success of his films. He is a movie star endorser for numerous manufacturers and products, inclusive of Hero MotoCorp, RedBus, Hotstar, Frooti, OLX, Colgate, 7 Up, Coca-Cola, Joyalukkas and Lot Mobiles.
